all about japanese cats

i went to a cafe that feeds stray cats. this cat was snoozing on top of the aircon unit

this sweet black and white one was in the cafe

i noticed most japanese cats i came across are chubby and plump

saw a man walking a very big dog in the park

at 1pm, i went to the cat cafe which i have made a reservation. it was packed with humans!

So it was two different cafes?

I think the first one is very noble to feed and take care of the strays.

In the second one, I am surprised to see male patrons

cat_aunty, males like cats also neh, like me and papa porky and vegancat. :)

I will make my way there in May (hopefully) and cuddle everyone of them (the cats, not the cafe patrons lah) .

ksn, can send me the addresses of the 2 cat cafes to mygreedycat@yahoo.com? Are they any good?

haha... yes, kxbc and cat_aunty, actually cats are loved by men as well. especially in japan. i have a video of a man feeding stray cats with his young toddler daughter (which i will upload soon).

kxbc, i dont have the address of the cafe that feeds stray cats (i chanced upon it while flipping through a tokyo cat cafe magazine, which i didnt buy). i can however, pass you a copy of the map of the town. it is just outside the inokashira park.

the other cat cafe is worth a visit imho, if you have 1 hour and 800 yen to spend. but try not to go on a weekend. i went on a saturday and it was PACKED. the address is on the website http://homepage3.nifty.com/calico/

let me know when your trip is confirmed. i can give you specific directions.

kxbc, actually, I believe vegancat started out as a dog person, just like me. Cats are a latter acquired taste...when they refused to leave my old house...and subsequently, my bed. :)

me too! i started off with a dog, then later converted to being a cat person.

i can say now that i prefer cats to dogs.
