rambling thoughts this CNY

this CNY is not an easy one.

i have been in my new company for 2 weeks now. and i have changed to my 3rd boss (and department)!

i think i am IN FOR A RIDE.

i am confused, surprised, bewildered. i am so screwed.

what i applied for, what i think i will be doing - may not be what i am doing afterall.

baaaad feeling...

morale of story : no matter how good an apple looks on the outside, you'd never know how rotten it is on the inside until you've taken a bite!

food for thought

after 2 weeks in living rotting fruit, i think i can safely conclude - i prefer to work in a small company.

this is why :- to get one unit of product packed and transferred for sale, i need to coordinate with 2 warehouses and 3 depts!

no wonder the company is so big... so many little jobs for many people.

one week of hell...

so i just passed one week of real working life.

it hasnt been easy at all. you would think a newcomer should have some sort of honeymoon period to infuse into the company culture.

well, not my company!

even though my boss did not give me the support level i expected (you know, intro to colleagues, clear direction, etc), i cant really push all the blame is all his.

you see, i havent been using my brain in last job!

yes, in the previous company, i didnt have to think at all. it was just "boss say, i follow" management style. in fact, the company was so laidback, whatever i tried to introduce was too advanced for them to handle (ok, i am bragging a little, but you get the point).

this resulted in me having a major culture shock and crisis. now.

i forgot how to think, how to communicate properly with peers. again, i am exaggerating. but i seriously am finding it hard to cope. i was so in my comfort zone. and it doesnt help that other colleagues seem to be in a breeze in their areas.

and i havent mentioned the transition from pc to a mac. luckily, mac is really quite easy to use.

well, i will just have to endure the next few months.

ps just some idea of what my boss expects from me, the newbie, i already need to bring laptop home over the first weekend!

so i survived

my first day of work at a "fruit" company!

i hate first days... but thanks to my "high expectation" boss, it didnt feel like a first day at all .

in fact, i sat in meetings till 6.40pm (official end time is 5.30pm)

then there's the IT setup. which of course, IT dept wasnt helpful at all.

thankfully, for the fruit company, everything i needed to install was on the intranet.

i have a feeling i will be working long hours for the next 1 or 2 quarters.

must be retribution - for the "snake" i have enjoyed in my previous company!

my new regime

perhaps due to a switch of job after a long 1 year search, i am fussing about my appearance once again.

also, due to late nights of trading, my skin has turned really bad. like clogged with blackheads/whiteheads.

i saw it very clearly on the mtm skin analyzer.

it was very gross!

so gross i knew i had to repair fast, now.

slimming program comes to an end

today i went for the last of slimming program.

end result after 3 weeks :
- weight loss of 2.5kg
- fat mass loss of 2.2kg
- inch loss of average 1.5 inches overall (hips, thighs and tummy)
- better bowel movement
- cellulite reduction (not visibly dimpled unless stretched)
- smaller appetite
- no craving for 扣肉 anymore!

in summary, i'd never want to step into a slimming centre ever again. the hot fat burn cream and cold menthol wrap were not pleasant. money would be better spent on spa and massages!
