gift packing supervisor

despite the unglam title, it's really quite an interesting position.

the incumbent will be in charge of gift packing planning and operations, a really important part of the wine and spirit industry.

afterall, it's all in the packaging right?

high expectations, bad lunch experience

after savouring the sashimi platter and eagerly waiting for uni,

"sorry, uni is not available today"

...................................................

do you know what is teppanyaki mango? would you imagine a whole or sliced mango being yaki-ed to perfection?

titles can be misleading...

this is.. teppanyaki mango

guess where's the mango...

lunch came up to $280 for 3 persons, and that's only paying for a sashimi platter, 3 teppanyaki main courses and dessert.

ps teppanyaki mango's $20.

thin line between guts and pettiness

dirty laundry

the other half came home at 6.30am this morning.

naturally i was furious.

"my friend borrowed my phone battery to quarrel with his wife amnd forgot to return me. the other guy drove me to bukit panjang to take back the phone and battery. i'm so sleepy now. sorry"

yeah right, what a tall story. i would have believed you more if you told me you were fooling around.

withdrawal symptoms

this morning at 7am, the aircon in my room suddenly stopped.

my other half went out to the hall to investigate and found this:

perhaps the cats are having withdrawals for not able to inhale 2nd hand smoke!

geno's bee-tai-bak

what a fuchsia weekend

me and meow went to tanjong katong road yesterday and as the hot sun tried to burn our smooth and whitened skin, we chanced upon something authentically bollywood.

the entire cafe was screaming fuchsia

the royal falooda drink

overall, service was pleasant and drinks were fantastic (yes, even the weird looking falooda which had a tinge of bandung).

since it was a vegetarian restaurant, dawn, i would recommend this place ^-^

with a tinge of blue!

question of the day

would you rather work in

a) company where everyone takes instruction from the boss and/or hq, no need to think, every day just hai; or

b) a bitchy environment where you have to crack your brains and every challenge is like a blood quest, every day is a new battle

in loving memory of mika

cat aunty's pictures of spencer brought back fond memories of my first cat adopted from cws.

that was back in mid 2000, i still remember that day very well. i emailed cws and said i wanted to adopt a kitten, approx 8 weeks old, boy or girl or colour doesnt matter. jean promptly brought 2 carriers to my home.

she opened the doors of the carriers, which i peered into. one was a beautiful tabby kitten. the other was a plain black and white kitten.

the beautiful tabby kitten was very shy, she hid at the back of the carrier refusing human touch (no ah, i didnt force her out hor). the black and white kitten, on the other hand, was not shy at all, she came out the minute the door opened.

she greeted me by meowing and rubbing herself on my hand.

the choice was a natural one.

thus the black and white kitten was named mika.

mika was the sweetest and gentlest cat i have known, even till this day.

she readily gave in to juveniles, often becoming a "toy" for them.

she also let youngsters cuddle up against her, never said no.

when the night became quiet, she would quietly cuddle beside a human, kneading him and purring softly, without fail (even sat on his belly the whole night and kneaded on it)

i hope you have abundance of fish in kitty heaven, mika. till we meet again..

next cat show in april

i hope my belly fur grows back in time for the next cat show. mummy is feeding us with an expensive premium food, whom she heard from a certain uncle jack that it is very good for "beauty and fit", in the hope to register and show me off!

i have been licking my legs and belly bald... i heard the humans call this, "excessive compulsive licking disorder". dont understand why they'd give such a long name for it. it's just that i cant help stop licking when i am nervous, or when i get caught bullying coco. mummy would ignore or chase me with a stick in her hand.

it's a misunderstanding

i was feeling nauseous, shiverish, with a little cold sweat yesterday.

i thought they were withdrawl symptoms.

well, actually i am down with a cold.

do keep away

from my other half. he is officially suffering from withdrawal symptoms since 1 Feb.

me too. i mean, i cant be fagging while the other half's trying to stop right? that would be too cruel and torturing.

so, i am suffering from mild withdrawal symptoms too.. (i dont fag as heavily)

do keep away. at least for a while. quite grouchy and sleepy now.

mother cat and kittens

i finally saw pregnant and her 2 kittens today!

i'm going to try and trap her and also the 2 kittens.

dont they look sweet? they are so playful and vibrant. i think they are both males.

i will bring them home, vaccinate them, give them lots of interaction and they are all ready to be adopted.

of course, mummy needs to be spayed.
